🐾 Russia’s attacks on Ukraine are claiming victims who have no way to understand the war around them.
In Odesa, two animal shelters were struck in separate attacks, killing at least 14 cats and dogs. One shelter owner suffered burns and a concussion while desperately trying to rescue animals from the flames.
🇺🇦 Despite the danger, Ukrainian volunteers continue rescuing abandoned and wounded animals, including those evacuated from front-line communities.
Some have survived missile strikes, others have been rescued from flooded cities and abandoned homes. Many are still waiting for families.
