Former U.S. Ambassador to Estonia George Kent and his family set out on an unusual mission — a cross-country bicycle journey across the United States to support Ukraine as it continues to defend itself in the war against Russia. Traveling thousands of miles through ten states, they stopped in small towns and cities, speaking with Americans who hold very different views about the war. Along the way, the journey also became a fundraising effort to help Ukraine’s defenders. The conversations they had and the support they encountered offered a revealing glimpse into how ordinary Americans see Ukraine’s fight and why many continue to stand with it.
