🇺🇸🇺🇦 Andrew Webber was a West Point graduate, U.S. Army veteran, father of two, and successful attorney. In 2023, he took leave from his law firm and traveled to Ukraine to help defend the country against Russia’s invasion. Less than two months later, he was killed in action.
His mother, Karla Webber, turned her grief into a mission. Today, she leads Memento Mori, a program of the R.T. Weatherman Foundation that honors foreign volunteers killed in Ukraine and supports their families. The program works with more than 300 families across 37 countries.
Karla also advocates for Ukraine in Washington, sharing the stories of fallen American volunteers with members of Congress.
Why did Andrew leave his life in America behind? And how is his mother continuing his mission?
